Term 2, 2007 - Changes to Master of Accounting and Master of Management Programs

Highlights of the changes for each program are detailed below.

Master of Accounting
New name: Masters of Professional Accounting.
Entry requirements: Australian Bachelors equivalent from a NOOSR listed institution from any discipline. No minimum or maximum accounting subject requirement in previous qualification.
Duration: 2 years
Offered at: ALL CQU Campuses from Term 2, 2007 except Sydney Campus where old program format is still available.

Master of Professional Accounting
- New name: Graduate Certificate in Accounting / Master of Professional Accounting
- Entry requirement: Australian Diploma equivalent from a NOOSR listed institution from any discipline. No minimum or maximum accounting subject requirement in previous qualification.
- Duration: 2.5 years
- Offered at: ALL CQU Campuses from Term 2, 2007 except Sydney Campus where old program format is still available
- Please note that Graduate Certificate in Accounting is not available as an Exit or Interim award, but is done just as a part of the full degree which is called Graduate Certificate in Accounting / Master of Professional Accounting.

Master of Management (Human Resource) & Master of Management (Marketing Management)

New names: Master of Human Resource Management & Master of Marketing Management
Entry requirement: A bachelor degree in any discipline from an Australian university or college, or equivalent; or a minimum of five years relevant management experience; or a minimum of 10 years relevant business experience.
Duration: New program is of 2 years duration as compared to the old program duration of 1.5 years ( New program has 12 units where as the old program has 9 units)
Offered at: ALL CQU Campuses from Term 2, 2007 except Sydney Campus where old program format is still available
No Interim award is available for this program; however the student can get exit awards at Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma level if they wish to leave the Masters program after completing 3 or 6 subjects only and take out a Graduate Certificate or a Graduate Diploma.
