This new program structure enables students to build a degree encompassing the skills you choose, need and want. The flexibility in approach enables you to study full-time or part-time and you choose the units depending on your needs. There is then the option of specialisations which you can decide later on during your studies.
Exit points are also available from the degree through the Graduate Certificate in Business (after 4 units) or the Graduate Diploma in Business (after eight units).
This course provides students with:
- an advanced level of attributes in written and oral communication, information literacy, self direction, teamwork, global outlook, moral and social responsibility, curiousity and creativity,
- an understanding of contemporary issues within the various disciplines of local and global business
- attained knowledge and skills associated with understanding and applying business theory, concepts and practice locally, regionally, internationally and globally
- the potential to specialise in the business area of specific interest to you
- an understanding of the range of methodologies, and their appropriate application relevant to the business environment
- the capacity to interpret and communicate research findings and advanced analytical skills.
The course requires completion of six core units of which three are in the areas of personal development and corporate responsibility and three are from the major business disciplines underpinning the program’s learning outcomes. The six electives offer the flexibility to enable students to tailor the course to their needs, with an option of including a specialisation in sustainability or information technology management.
Specialisations will be determined by market demands and will change to reflect the trends emerging.
