Advanced Diploma of Interpreting and Translating 点评：课程优势: 澳大利亚紧缺专业, 时间仅为一年，学费A$11,000/年, 毕业后自动获澳翻译口译认证委员会(NAATI)三级翻译资格， 技术移民职业评分可获满分60分，以其它专业申请移民差5分的申请者修完该课程可以获得加分。 Course Description: The aim of the Advanced Diploma of Interpreting and Translating is to train bilingual speakers in the role, theory, ethics and practice of interpreting and translating in the relevant specialist language and the contextual knowledge required to provide interpreting and translating at a professional standard. The course is suitable for persons who have completed a Diploma of Interpreting (or equivalent), been accredited by the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NATTI) as Paraprofessional Interpreter and/or Paraprofessional Translator and achieved a native speaker level of fluency in both English and the language of their choice. Course Accreditation: The course is accredited by NAATI at Professional level (formerly Level 3) for both interpreting and translating. Location: RMIT University City Campus Course Entrance Requirements: Successful completion of · Diploma of Interpreting and/or Course in Language Consolidation for Professional Interpreting and Translating or equivalent; and · NAATI accreditation as Paraprofessional Interpreter and/or Paraprofessional Translator; or · Pass of course entrance test (For applicants with a relevant degree and interpreting and translating experience). English Language Proficiency: IELTS 6.5+ (including speaking and writing 6.5+), or pass of a course entrance test. Course Structure: · Theoretical Basis of Interpreting and Translating 1 + 2 (68 hours) · Ethics and Professional Practice of Interpreting and Translating (34 hours) · Contextual Studies for Interpreters and Translators (English and LOTE) (68 hours) · English Language Consolidation for Interpreters 1 + 2 (68 hours) · English Language Consolidation for Translators 1 + 2 (68 hours) · Interpreting Practice A + B (in both language directions and Including fields practice ) (246 hours) · Translating Practice 1A + 2B (English to LOTE and including field practice) (124 hours) · Translating Practice 1B + 2B (LOTE to English and including field practice) (124 hours) Total Nominal Hours: 800 Course Recognition and Career Prospects: If a student successfully completes all the course requirements and meets NAATI accreditation standards, s/he may exit after 800 hours of training with RMIT University Advanced Diploma of Interpreting and Translating and NAATI Professional - level accreditation as an Interpreter and/or a Translator (one way from English into LOTE or LOTE into English or, both ways, English into LOTE and LOTE into English). Graduates of this Advanced Diploma typically find improved employment opportunities in multicultural communities and work environments. They may find employment in a wide range of jobs that require interpreting and translating, cross-cultural and interpersonal communication knowledge and skills.
