生物工程及商务硕士是RMIT大学最新推出的课程:这门课将生物科学及其相关的商业管理有机的结合起来,大量的工业实践参与保证了具体商业领域的技术转让，管理运行和商业化的有效结合及促进.
中国在国际上的知名药品非常的少，昂贵的药物都是西方大国开发的，为此中国不但没有获得应有的利润，反而必须为进口药品支付巨额费用。该课程对于加入WTO后发展中国的医药事业，完善研制开发到管理销售的一体化管理，以赢得更多的国际市场有着重要意义。特别适合制药行业的工作人员。
The Masters Program
The Masters in Biotechnology/Business (MBB) combines advanced aspects of biotechnology science with relevant biotechnology and business management education. Strong industry participation ensures management, technology transfer and commercialisation skills are specific and relevant to the commercial sector.
Program content will be presented by research, industry and government experts to ensure it is kept relevant and up-to-date.
The program is aimed at persons working in biotechnology, life sciences or related industries who wish to broaden or upgrade their scientific skills and acquire business skills relevant to biotechnology management, technology transfer and the commercialisation of R & D.
Biotechnology-specific management units have been developed after extensive consultation with industry and will be offered by the Department of Biotechnology and Environmental Biology in conjunction with industry experts.
General management units will be selected from the Master of Business Administration (MBA) offered by the School of Management RMIT Business.
The program will be presented in evening classes (6 to 9 pm, Monday to Thursday) at the City Campus of RMIT. The course will not be offered by distance mode or on-line. Some units will include 3-5 day block practicals in the laboratories at the Bundoora Campus of RMIT.

Entry requirements
Prospective students will have a degree in science or related area, a minimum of 3 years industry experience and good communication skills (oral and written). Selection will be based on qualifications, experience and interview.

Master of Biotechnology and Business 181702
12 one-semester units comprising 5 foundation + 2 integrating + 5 elective units.
Exit Points:
Graduate Diploma in Biotechnology and Business 181402
8 one-semester units comprising 5 foundation + 2 integrating + 2 elective unit.
Graduate certificate in Biotechnology and Business 181302
4 one-semester units comprising MG100 + AB610 + AB613 + AB614.
Recognition of Prior Learning will influence the combination of courses that need to be taken for each qualification.
Mode & duration
Full time 3 semesters
Part time 6 semesters
Courses can be taken as single courses.
Program Fee
International students: $21,300 ($1775 per course)
Articulation to RMIT MBA
Management courses may be credited for students wishing to transfer to, or continue on to, study for an MBA from the RMIT School of Management, providing students meet MBA entry requirements.
