拉筹伯大学国际专科学院 La Trobe University International College 2007年起,拉筹伯大学的语言中心,预科和专科文凭课程将合并到国际专科学院。这将方便学生上下课,特别是语言、预科、专科课程等桥梁课程,同时简化沟通渠道,提高管理效率。
We are pleased to advise that, from January 2007, the Language Centre is merging with the Foundation Studies and Diploma Programs to form the La Trobe University International College.This will ease student mobility through pathways programs, simplify communication channels and streamline administration processes.

La Trobe University is delighted to announce our offering of seven new degrees:
Master of Business Information Management and Systems
This exciting new Master's program provides an opportunity to develop an understanding of the tools and concepts of information systems management. Students learn to apply information systems techniques and technologies in business areas including accounting, finance, management and marketing. Students also participate in a significant applied information systems team project with application in a specific business discipline.
This two year program will be offered at the Melbourne (Bundoora) campus with its first intake for international students in Semester 2, 2007.
Admission Requirements
An Australian Bachelor’s degree with a “C” grade average or an equivalent degree approved by La Trobe University.
An IELTS result of 6.5 (with no individual band score less than 6.0) or approved equivalent is also required to demonstrate English language proficiency.
Tuition Fee
The annual tuition fee for students commencing in 2007 is A$16,000.*
Master in Information Systems Management
The Master in Information Systems Management provides an opportunity to develop an understanding of the tools and concepts of information systems management. Students will learn to apply information systems techniques and technologies in business areas including accounting, finance, management and marketing.
This 1.5 year program will be offered at the Melbourne (Bundoora) campus with it’s first intake for international students in Semester 2, 2007 .
Admission Requirements
An Australian Bachelor’s degree with a “C” grade average or an equivalent degree approved by La Trobe University.
An IELTS result of 6.5 (with no individual band score less than 6.0) or approved equivalent is also required to demonstrate English language proficiency.
Tuition Fee
The annual tuition fee for students commencing in 2007 is A$16,000.* Master of Mobile and Pervasive Computing
The principal objective of this exciting new program is to train ICT professionals in the rapidly growing field of mobile and telecommunications technology and to produce specialists with the skills and practical experience to satisfy the huge demand expected in this area over the next 20 years.
It is envisaged that this program will provide graduates with ample employment opportunities in the ICT industry, particularly in those areas concerned with mobile computing and telecommunications.
The Master of Mobile and Pervasive Computing is a two year
full-time program. It will be offered at the Melbourne (Bundoora) campus with intakes in both Semester 1 and 2, 2007.
Admission Requirements
To be eligible for admission into this program, prospective students must have completed a course equivalent to a three year (or longer) Australian undergraduate degree majoring in computer science or electronic engineering. Students must have completed units on Computer Programming using C++ or Java, Computer Networks and Database Systems.
Applicants whose principal language of educational instruction was not English must provide evidence of their proficiency in English. This is achieved by a satisfactory result in VCE English (any) or by achieving a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 or approved equivalent.
Tuition Fee
The annual tuition fee for students commencing in 2007 is A$18,000.*
Master of Biomedical Engineering
The principal objective of this unique program is to address the major aspects of biomedical technology and to produce engineers with the necessary skills and practical experience to satisfy the requirements in this rapidly expanding industry.
The major role of professional biomedical engineering in the workforce is to act as agents for change through development of technically sound, economically viable and socially acceptable solutions to complex and new technical problems, applied to the health care sector, both in acute hospital settings and in the wider provision of health care to the community. Graduates will be well prepared to find employment in biomedical organisations around the world.
This two-year program will be offered at the Melbourne (Bundoora) campus with intakes in Semester 1 and 2, 2007.
Admission Requirements:
To be eligible for admission into this program, prospective students must have completed a four year Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronic Engineering, or equivalent. Students will be expected to have some background in Digital Logic, Computer Architecture, Mathematics at second year level and basic programming skills in C or C++. It would be advantageous to have some familiarity with Analogue Circuit Design.
Applicants whose principal language of educational instruction was not English must provide evidence of their proficiency in English. This is achieved by a satisfactory result in VCE English (any) or by achieving a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 or approved equivalent.
Tuition Fee
The annual tuition fee for students commencing in 2007 is A$18,000.*
Master of Wine and Wine Appreciation
This course is designed for graduates from any discipline who wish to gain a Master’s qualification in advanced wine knowledge and appreciation. Typically, applicants will be professionals in wine marketing, hospitality and tourism, wine business management, wine retail or independent wine consultancy, wishing to complement existing experience and qualifications. People who have regular involvement in wine consumption and presentation will benefit from the knowledge gained from this course.
This two-year program will be offered at the Melbourne (Bundoora) campus with an intake in Semester 1, 2007.
Admission Requirements
Potential students will possess an undergraduate degree and have a demonstrated interesting the wine and/or food industries or have successfully completed the Graduate Diploma program.
Applicants whose principal language of educational instruction was not English must provide evidence of their proficiency in English. This is achieved by a satisfactory result in VCE English (any) or by achieving a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 or approved equivalent.
Tuition Fee
The annual tuition fee for students commencing in 2007 is A$20,000.*
The Christmas close-down period for all campuses will be from the close of business on Thursday, 21 December 2006 up to and including Monday, 1 January 2007. This means that all faculties and university offices (including the IPO) will be closed.
The University will re-open for business on Tuesday, 2 January 2007.
